Lance Weiler is a critically acclaimed award winning writer/ director, recognised as a pioneer because of the way he makes and distributes his work. WIRED magazine named him “One of twenty-five people helping to re-invent entertainment and change the face of Hollywood.” and BUSINESSWEEK named Lance “One of the 18 Who Changed Hollywood.” The list included Thomas Edison, George Lucas and Steve Jobs. He has successfully self-distributed his films The Last Broadcast and Head Trauma to more than 20 countries while grossing over 5 million dollars in the process. Head Trauma’s cinema ARG attracted over 2.5 million people, who experienced the game via theaters, mobile drive-ins, phones and online. His next feature film, entitled HiM, won the Arte France Cinema award. In 2010 HiM attended the Sundance Screenwriter’s Lab marking the first time the lab has supported a feature film / transmedia project. Lance is also the story architect of Pandemic, the transmedia component of HiM, which took part in Sundance 2011’s New Frontier section. Lance often speaks about the changing landscape of entertainment. Lance has spoken at World Economic Forum, MIT, USC, Columbia, Cannes, and Sundance in addition to high level ad agencies, brands, gaming, and media companies.
Anita Ondine is an internationally recognised transmedia creator, educator and consultant, with a passion for exploring new possibilities in both the creative and business aspects of transmedia storytelling. Anita is currently producing “Pandemic”, a global transmedia experience for Lance Weiler’s next feature film “HiM”, and recently produced the first short film from the Pandemic story world which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and via a US cable network reaching 28 million homes. Anita is also developing an ARG-style transmedia franchise in collaboration with a major European broadcaster. Prior to working in the creative industries, Anita was Senior Vice President at a major global investment bank, and is also a qualified intellectual property and technology lawyer with over a decade of experience in complex global transactions. Anita now combines her knowledge of law and finance to create innovative business models for transmedia experiences. Anita is a vocal advocate of the power and potential that transmedia provides storytellers in the 21st century and has a specific interest in using transmedia as a tool for community service and social change. Anita regularly delivers keynote speeches and masterclasses as well as instructing and mentoring at venues such as the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam, the Cannes International Film Festival, the Rotterdam Cinemart and the Pusan International Film Festival.  Anita is a member of the Sundance Institute’s Advisory Committee on New Frontier/Transmedia Storytelling and is the Course Director and Co-founder of Transmedia Next and the host of the event.
Inga Von Staden is based in Berlin, Germany. In the 90’s she worked in software-based media holding a wide range of jobs as author, conceptor, creative producer, consultant and lecturer on games, internet and mobile applications. In 1999 she set up projectscope (www.projectscope.de), a media consultancy. After founding and directing the European MEDIA funded programme, the Academy of Converging Media (www.academy-of-converging-media.com) at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie, Berlin in 2001, she joined the regional media council, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg in 2004 to coordinate their activities in support of the new media sectors until 2007. Today Inga von Staden works as a media architect, coach and educator for the creative industries. She directs the four-year-study programme Interactive Media at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg training students to work for and with all media platforms. Her special interests are the impact of digital technology on business and society, how to utilize digital technology to enhance media business as well as looking at media to empower sustainable action. Inga von Staden has written, published and lectured on subjects such as ”The Story That Writes Itself – On Artificial Intelligence”, “Games – Where Media and Technology Meet”, ”User Generated Content – Community Based Media“ and ”Limitless – AnimationMeets the WWW“. She is an assessor for media technology funding with the Investions Bank Berlin (www.investionsbank.de), is on the programme board of the fmx, the International Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Interactive Media (www.fmx.com) and moderates conferences on and around media.
Jonathan Marshall is CTO of Social Television at SlipStream, and a leading technical strategist in the field of interactive TV with 18 years experience of both hardware and software innovation in the broadcast and entertainment industries. Jonathan led the development of the BBC’s first interactive services on DTT and Digital Satellite broadcasting, including the ground-breaking Wimbledon Interactive service and Digital Text. This work cemented his reputation as one of the key technical strategists in the interactive TV field. Jonathan went on to become BBC Interactive TV’s technical liaison for all third party software providers, testing and appraising their products, giving him an unrivaled knowledge of the interactive TV tools market. Jonathan started his career as a recording engineer for BBC Scotland, after which he worked in Paris for IRCAM, designing and implementing Digital Music Workstations. Back at the BBC, he worked on DAB and then Digital Television for the R&D department at Kingswood Warren. He has since worked all over the world with broadcasters and platform owners to both design and implement broadcast and IPTV playout systems. More recently Jonathan has both facilitated and mentored on creative labs for media organisations around the world including, The BBC Innovation Labs, XMediaLab, LAMP@AFTRS, and 01ZeroOne. He runs bespoke training courses and workshops on the technical, creative and editorial aspects of HD, 3D and Interactive TV. He is also a judge for BAFTA and the Interactive Emmy awards and has jointly won a BAFTA for his work on the BBC’s interactive services.
